    Abstract: The invention relates to a culture medium, preferably a cell culture medium, comprising at least one oligopeptide of 2-10 amino acids in length, said amino acids being natural amino acids and at least one of said amino acids being lysine (Lys) and one further amino acid is selected from cysteine (Cys), cystine (Cyss), leucine (Leu), tyrosine (Tyr), valine (Val) and Isoleucine (Ile) and the oligopeptide is present in an amount of at least 0.1 mM. The invention further relates to the use of a culture medium of the invention for culturing cells, preferably plant cells, animal cells or mammalian cells. Another aspect of the invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cell culture product comprising the steps of (i) providing a cell capable of producing said cell culture product; (ii) contacting said cell with a culture medium according to the invention; and (iii) obtaining said cell culture product from said culture medium or from said cell.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to processes for increasing the stability of compositions comprising polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids against oxidation. The processes comprise the following steps: (i) providing a starting composition comprising at least one polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid component; (ii) providing a lysine composition; (iii) admixing aqueous, aqueous-alcoholic or alcoholic solutions of starting composition and lysine composition, and subjecting resulting admixture to spray drying conditions subsequently, thus forming a solid product composition comprising at least one salt of a cation derived from lysine with an anion derived from a polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid; the product composition exhibiting a solvent content SC selected from the following: SC [ 5 wt pcnt , SC [ 3 wt pcnt , SC [ 1 wt pcnt , SC [ 0.5 wt pcnt . Compositions obtainable by such spray drying processes and use of such compositions for the manufacture of food, nutritional and pharmaceutical products are further comprised by the present invention.
