The oligo carboxylic acid contains 0.015-3 and 0.01-1.2 di- and tricarboxylic acid moles relative to the lactams.

    Abstract: Molding mass comprises a polyamine-polyamide graft copolymer and a thermoplastic polyester. The graft copolymer is prepared from a branched polyamine and, as polyamide-forming monomers, lactams, omega -aminocarboxylic acids and/or equimolar amounts of diamines and dicarboxylic acids. Molding mass (A) comprises 0.1-5 weight parts of a polyamine-polyamide graft copolymer (I) and 95-99.9 weight parts thermoplastic polyester (II). (I) is prepared from 0.5-25 wt.% of a branched polyamine with at least 4 nitrogen atoms and number average molecular weight at least 146, and, as polyamide-forming monomers, lactams, omega-aminocarboxylic acids and/or equimolar amounts of diamines and dicarboxylic acids. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) mass (A') for injection molding comprising 0.1-20 weight parts (I) and 80-99.9 weight parts (II); (2) molding mass (A'') containing (i) 40-99.5wt.% mixture as defined for (A') and (ii) the balance particulate, lamellar and/or fibrous fillers, pigments, reinforcing agents, additives, agents that impart anti-electrostatic or electrical conduction properties, nucleating agents and particulate flame-proofing agents; and (3) molded articles prepared from (A)-(A'').

    Abstract: The composite includes a coupling layer comprising a graft copolymer from: (a) a polyamine with at least 4 nitrogen atoms and a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of at least 146; and (b) polyamide-forming monomers (lactams, omega -amino-acids and/or equimol. combinations of diamines and dicarboxylic acids). A thermoplastic multilayer composite comprises layers (I) and (II) of different thermoplastic moulding materials and an interlayer (III) of a coupling agent. At least 5 wt% of (III) consists of a graft copolymer derived from: (a) 0.5-25 wt% (based on the copolymer) of a polyamine with at least 4 nitrogen atoms and a Mn of at least 146; and (b) polyamide-forming monomers selected from lactams, omega -aminocarboxylic acids or equimolar combinations of diamines and dicarboxylic acids. An Independent claim is also included for moulding materials containing: (A) 5-60 parts by weight (pts. wt.) of a graft copolymer as above; (B) 10-85 pts. wt. of a polyamide; (C) 10-85 pts. wt. of a polyester; and (D) not more than 40 wt% (based on A + B + C) of an impact-modifying rubber and/or conventional auxiliary substances or additives.
