Abstract: The pastes are suitable for thick film technology and give a surface resistance advantageous for technical applications, even when fired without a protective gas atmos. The sulphides can be pptd. in very finely-divided form, obviating the need for grinding. A wide range of resistance values is possible (101 - 106 ohm/sq.) if noble metal(alloy) powder is incorporated and this also improves the temp. coefft., noise ration and long-term stability. Sulphides of Pd and Ru are pref.

Abstract: Cd/In spinel (CdIn2O4) is used as semiconductor cpd. in the prodn. of resistance pastes. It is suitable for pastes for thick film technology and can be used in conjunction with noble metal (alloy) powder. The spinel has high temp. stability and suitable electricial conductivity. Unlike In2O3, it is not hygroscopic and avoids the disadvantages of familiar resistance components. The resistance value can be varied in a partic. wide range. The spinel is produced by calcining a mixt. of unstable salts.
