Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material causing no separation of incompatible components A and B in processing and having high mechanical strength, and to provide a primer for multilayer composite materials. SOLUTION: The molding material practically comprises (a) 5-95 pts. wt. amino-containing polymer as a polymer A, (b) 95-5 pts. wt. polymer B [wherein, (a)+(b) is 100 pts. wt.] and (c) 1-90 pts. wt. compatibilizing agent comprising an (alkyl)acrylic ester polymer. SOLUTION: The optical cable has a fiber core (1) and a fiber clad (2) and additionally has an inner external layer (3) which is stuck to the fiber clad and is made of a molding material containing polyamide and has a zero-share viscosity in a range of 400 to 6,000 Pas when measured at 220°C and an outer external layer (4) which is stuck with ≤30N tension and is made of a polyamide molding material containing 20 to 95 mass % polyamide, 5 to 45 mass % flame retardant, and 0 to 60 mass % impact resistance reinforcing agent.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antistatic plastic product possessing a high stability against peroxide-containing fuels or solvents and a slight sensitivity against thermal aging. SOLUTION: A plastic product wherein at least one partial domain comprises a polyamide-containing thermoplastic molding material, contains from 3 to 30 wt.% electrically conductive carbon black. Here, this electrically conductive carbon black is characterized by the following parameters; (a) a DBP absorption of from 100 to 300 ml/100 g; (b) a specific surface area of from 30 to 180 m2/g; (c) an ash content of less than 0.1 wt.% and (d) a crude particle content of 25 ppm or smaller.

Abstract: Optical cable has a fiber core (1) and fiber cladding (2) adhered with inner and outer external layers (3,4) respectively comprising molding compositions (A and B) having polyamides (I,II). (A) has zero-shear viscosity of 400-6000 Pas at 220 degreesC. (B) further contains flame retardant and impact modifier. Amount of polyamide (II) (a), flame retardant (b) and impact modifier (c) is based on total amount of (a,b,c). An optical cable comprises a polymer optical conductor comprising a fiber core (1) and a single layer or multi-layer fiber cladding (2) which is adhered with inner external layer (3) with a peel force of at least 50 N and an outer external layer (4) adhered to inner external layer with peel force of 30N or less. The inner and outer external layers respectively comprise molding compositions (A and B) containing polyamides (I,II). Polyamide (I) is selected from PA 11, PA 12, PA 1012, PA 1212, copolyamide of at least 2 of PA 11, PA 12, PA 1012, PA 1212 containing not more than 30 mol% of comonomer, and their mixtures, and contains at least 50 micro-eq/g of amino end groups. Composition (A) has zero-shear viscosity of 400-6000 Pas according to ASTM D 4440 at 220 degreesC. The polyamide (II) is selected from PA 11, PA 12, PA 1012, PA 1212, copolyamide of at least 2 of PA 11, PA 12, PA 1012, PA 1212 containing not more than 30 mol% of comonomer, polyetheramide of the above polymers, and their mixtures. Composition (B) further contains 5-45 wt.% of a flame retardant and 0-60 wt.% of an impact modifier. The amount of polyamide (II), flame retardant and impact modifier is based on total amount of polyamide (II), flame retardant and impact modifier.
