    Abstract: Amestec adeziv pentru îmbunatatirea aderentei amestecurilor vulcanizabile de cauciuc, natural si/sau sintetic, de insertiile sau suporturile de armare din materiale textile si sau tesaturi metalice, dupa aplicarea pe acestea a amestecurilor din cauciuc prin vulcanizare, continînd unul sau mai multe materiale de umplutura de întarire, un agent de vulcanizare (sulf), eventual un accelerator de vulcanizare si eventual unul sau mai multi compusi uzuali în tehnologia cauciucului din grupa de inhibitori de îmbîtrînire, materiale auxiliare de prelucrare, pigmenti, acid stearic, oxid de zinc si un component generator de rasina fenolica respectiv de rasina aminoplastica sintetica, ca, fenoli si/sau amine, pe de o parte si aldehide sau donori de aldehide, pe de alta parte, caracterizat prin aceea ca, drept material de umplutura de întarire (A) contine silice si/sau silicat, preparat pe cale sintetica, avînd o suprafata specifica dupa BET cuprinsa între circa 50 si circa 500m la puterea 2/g si o granulatie medie primara cuprinsa între circa 5 si 100 mm, si drept component generator de rasina sintetica (B) contine rezorcina si/sau hexametilentetramina, precum si tetrasulfura de bis-(3-etoxisilipropil) (C), organo-silanul (C) reprezentînd 3 pîna la 25% în greutate si componentii (B) si/sau (C) cel putin 50% în greutate fata de componentul A.

The above compounds may be used either as vulcanization agents in the crosslinking of elastomers or as a binding agency between inorganic fillers and organic polymers, the required effects occurring in the presence of residual moisture in the mix and in the presence or absence of conventional accelerators or activators. Examples describe the vulcanization of styrene-butadiene and natural rubbers using the above compounds as vulcanizing agents added to the mix or used to pre-treat silica fillers, the vulcanization being carried out in the presence of sulphur and the presence or absence of conventional additives such as zinc oxide, stearic acid, dibenzothiazyl disulphide and diphenyl guanidine.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a silica-containing mixture for improving the adhesion to vulcanizable mixtures of natural or synthetic rubber to reinforcing fillers or underlayers of textile or metallic fabrics after the mixture has been vulcanized thereon, said mixture comprising (A) an active, synthetically produced silica or silicate having a specific surface area according to BET of approximately 50 to 500 sq m per gram and an average primary particle size ranging from approximately 5 to 100 nm or a mixture thereof and comprising at least(B) one component, which forms phenol resin or aminoplast or (C) an least an organosilane selected from a bis-alkoxy-silyl-alkyl-oligosulphide having the general formula (I) q - Alk - Sn - Alk - Z wherein Z represents the groupings and wherein R1 represents an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms or the phenyl radical and R2 represents an alkoxy group containing 1 to 8, a cycloalkoxy group containing 5 to 8 carbon atoms or a straight or branched alkyl-mercapto group containing 1 to 8 carbon atoms and wherein all the symbols R1 and R2 can have the same or a different meaning, -Alk- represents a divalent, straight or branched hydrocarbon radical containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms and n represents a number from 2 to 6, a silane containing mercapto groups and having the general formula (II) Z - Alk - SH wherein Z and Alk have the meaning specified above, or a silane having the general formula (III) Z - Alk - A, wherein Z and Alk have the meaning specified above and A represents the groupings N = C - S R - S RO - CS - S RS - CS - S R1 - CS - S -, wherein each of R and R1 represent a monovalent organic radical saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched, acyclic, cyclic, heterocyclic or heteroaromatic rradical and containing 1 to 15 carbon atoms and 1 to 5 hetero atoms from the group of nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur or both (B) and (C).

    Abstract: The present invention provides a vulcanizable rubber mixture for tire treads which is based on rubbers capable of being cross-linked, silica filler, processing oil, sulphur-con-taining organosilanes and accelerator, said mixture comprising one or two polybutadiene rubbers in amounts of 20 to 100% by weight of the proportion of elastomer, one or two rubbers other than polybutadiene selected from synthetic rubbers and natural rubbers in amounts of 80 to 0% by weight of the proportion of elastomer in the rubber mixture, active silica filler in amounts of more than 80 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber, processing oil in amounts of 40 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts of rubber, at least one bis-¢-alkoxy silyl alkyl!oligosulphide in amounts of 0.1 to 25% by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber, sulphur in amounts totalling approximately 0.2 to 8 parts by weight per 100 g of rubber and at least one vulcanization accelerator in amounts of approximately 0.1 to 8 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber The present invention also includes a tire tread formed from said mixture.
