Abstract: Wall means surrounds and defines an interior chamber in which a sample of vulcanized elastomer is to be accommodated. At least two separate surfaces bound this chamber and are provided with undercut grooves of dovetail-shaped cross-section in which portions of the sample are received. At least one surface can be moved with reference to the other in a sense effecting distending of the test sample.
