    Abstract: A particle catcher for capturing entrained particles in a fluid is disclosed. The particle catcher can include an enclosure defining a flow channel between an inlet and an outlet. Trapping means may be incorporated into the particle catcher. Where provided, the trapping means can be arranged at or near the inlet to allow fluid comprising entrained particles to enter the flow channel through the inlet and to substantially prevent the fluid comprising entrained particles from exiting the flow channel through the inlet. Filtering means may also be incorporated into the particle catcher. Where provided, the filtering means can be arranged at or near the outlet to keep at least some a part of the entrained particles from exiting the flow channel through the outlet.

    Abstract: A vent having a vent housing defining a mounting structure, a first opening between a first end and a second end of the vent housing, a first airflow pathway from the first opening, a second airflow pathway from a second opening, and a draining pathway from the first airflow pathway through the first end of the vent housing. The first airflow pathway has a first segment and a second segment extending in opposite axial directions. An inlet relief valve and an outlet relief valve are arranged in parallel between the first and second airflow pathways. The inlet relief valve opens upon exceeding a first threshold pressure differential of the second relative to the first airflow pathway. The outlet relief valve opens upon exceeding a second pressure differential of the first relative to the second airflow pathway. A filter assembly is disposed in the vent housing across the second airflow pathway.

    Abstract: A liquid filter cartridge, comprising:
    (a) a filter media surrounding an open filter interior;
    (i) the filter media defining a central axis and having first and second ends;

    (b) a second end construction positioned at the second end of the media;
    (i) the second end construction being open, and including a central spigot projecting away from the media and surrounding and defining a central liquid flow;
    (ii) a seal member positioned on the spigot to define a seal pattern non-orthogonal to the central axis of the media; and,
    (iii) a non-seal member of a projection/receiver rotational alignment arrangement positioned on the second end construction at a location to engage another member of the projection/receiver rotational alignment arrangement on a liquid flow collar, in selected rotational alignment, in use;

    wherein the non-seal member of a projection/receiver arrangement on the second end construction includes a first, radially outwardly projecting, interference projection positioned in projection radially outwardly from an exterior surface of the central spigot; and
    wherein:
    (a) the first, radially outwardly projecting, interference projection is positioned spaced axially from an end tip of the central spigot; and,
    (b) the seal member is oriented with a portion thereof extending across a portion of the spigot located between the first, radially outwardly projecting, interference projection and the end tip of the central spigot.
