Abstract:
Barrier stretch fabrics suitable for use in reusable medical or surgical products which are to be washed disinfected and sterilized prior to each use are disclosed. The fabrics include a fabric substrate comprising an elastic crosslinked polyolefin fiber and a membrane which is laminated or otherwise attached to the fabric substrate. The membrane is impermeable to liquids under a pressure of at least 20 centimeters of water (0.284 pounds- force/sq. inch). The barrier stretch fabrics are characterized by having a stretch of at least 18% in at least one direction with growth of ± 5% or lower.
Abstract:
Improved cone dyed yarns have now been discovered which have a balanced combination of desirable properties including less broken fibers and substantially uniform color. These cone dyed yarns comprise one or more elastic fibers and hard fibers, wherein the elastic fibers comprise the reaction product of at least one ethylene olefin block polymer and at least one crosslinking agent.
Abstract:
Knit fabric compositions have now been discovered that often have a balanced combination of desirable properties. Said fabric compositions comprise olefin block interpolymers. These compositions allow for improved processability when manufacturing knitted fabrics.
