Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method for reducing the color of an emulsion of functionalized polyolefin wax by treating an emulsion with a water soluble oxidizing agent at a temperature above the freezing point and below the boiling point of the emulsion and below the softening point of the wax. Disclosed herein, also, is the essentially colorless emulsion produced according to the disclosed method which is useful as an additive to floor polishes and other coating products.
Abstract:
A process for the polymerization of olefins is provided. Th e process involves contacting at least one olefin with a Ziegler-Natta type catalyst in the presence of a specified compound that results in the production of polymeric products having a narrower molecular weight distribution. Also provided is a process for na rrowing the molecular weight distribution of a polyolefin comprising contacting an olefin, a Ziegler-Natta catalyst and a compound specified herein. Further provided are novel polyethylenes, and films and articles produced therefrom.

A process for the polymerization of olefins is provided. The process involves contacting at least one olefin with at least one metallocene catalyst in the presence of a specified compound that results in the production of polymeric products having a narrower molecular weight distribution. Also provided is a process for narrowing the molecular weight distribution of a polyolefin comprising contacting an olefin, at least one metallocene catalyst and a compound specified herein. Further provided are polyolefins, and films and articles produced therefrom.

A process for the polymerization of olefins is provided. The process involves contacting at least one olefin with a Ziegler-Natta catalyst in the presence of dinitrogen monoxide in the production of polymeric products having a narrower molecular weight distribution. A process for narrowing molecular weight distribution of polyolefins utilizing dinitrogen monoxide is also provided.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a hot-melt adhesive containing at least one olefin-based polymer such as a propylene/1-hexene copolymer. The adhesive contains an amount of a low viscosity, substantially crystalline wax sufficient to improve the elastic delamination resistance of the adhesive. The adhesives are particularly useful in disposable diaper construction.
