Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a dispensing process by adjusting future dispense cycles, accurately dispensing the ingredient, and predicting an amount of ingredient to be dispensed. SOLUTION: A method of dispensing a requested amount of an ingredient, includes the steps of: dispensing the ingredient based on a factor affecting a dispensed amount of the ingredient; determining the dispensed amount of the ingredient; and adjusting the factor for a subsequent dispense cycle using a comparison between the requested amount and the dispensed amount. The factor includes a predetermined amount of time to dispense the ingredient, and a pumping speed of a pump or a speed of dispenser used to dispense the ingredient, and the factor is adjusted upward or downward. Abstract:
An apparatus (10) for creating a use solution of a concentrate diluted, with a dilution rate of not more than 1:130, into a diluent (12) flowing under pressure in a line (22). A normally-closed, user activatable valve (18) is operatively coupled in the line allowing the diluent to flow in the line upon user activation. A flow regulator (26) is operatively coupled in the line downstream of the valve (18), configured to maintain a constant flow rate for the diluent in the line. A constant flow rate pump (32) having an inlet and an outlet is operatively coupled to the valve (18). The inlet is adapted to be operatively fluidly coupled to the concentrate (28). The outlet is fluidly coupled to the line downstream of the flow regulator (26).
Abstract:
A method and system for collecting information associated with warewashing activities is disclosed. Articles to be cleaned by a warewasher (100) are placed in racks designed to fit inside a wash chamber (108) of the warewasher. Each rack (104) is assigned a unique identifier (ID). No two racks are associated with the same unique ID. An Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) tag (106) is embedded within or placed on the outer shell of each rack. The RFID tag (106) of a rack (104) is programmed with the unique ID assigned to the rack (104). An RFID reader (110) reads the unique ID of each rack (104) as the racks are placed into the warewasher (100). The RFID reader (110) transmits the unique ID to a host computer (112) where the unique ID is stamped with a time reference, stored and eventually uploaded to a server computer (426). The unique ID and associated time reference are analyzed by the server computer (426), the host computer (112) or a client computer (430) connected to the server computer (426) in order to monitor performance of the warewasher (100). For example, the analysis may calculate the total number of racks provided to the wash chamber (100) over a given period in time.
Abstract:
Methods of dispensing an ingredient and measuring an amount of the ingredient dispensed, e.g., at a customer's location usually as the ingredient is used by the customer, in order to improve the dispensing process by adjusting future dispense cycles, accurately dispensing the ingredient, predicting an amount of ingredient to be dispensed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for dispensing of a product based on weight as a load cell (22) which supports a structure holding the product (20a) to be dispensed. The weight of the product (20a) that is dispensed is determined by use of a controller (23). A dispenser (200) dispenses an amount of concentrate using a diluent to form a use solution. The dispenser (200) includes a housing (201) having a cavity. A product holder (210) is positioned to support the concentrate in the cavity of the housing (201). A load cell housing (207) is operatively supported by the housing. More than one load cell (240) is positioned in the load cell housing (207). The product holder (2 10) is supported on the more than one load cell (240), wherein weight of the concentrate is determined. A dispenser (200) dispenses an amount of concentrate in a container (204) using a diluent to form a use solution. A dispenser includes a housing (201). A product holder (2 10) is positioned to support the container (204) with the concentrate in the cavity of the housing. The product holder (210) carried by a scale (240), wherein weight of the concentrate is concerned. A moveable container holder (215) is moveable between a first position and a second position. The container holder is positioned between the housing (201) and the container (204). A cover (216) is operatively connected to the container holder (215) at a connection. A cam surface is adjacent the housing (201). The cover (216) has a cam (216d) for contacting the cam surface (201 a), wherein when the cover (216) is moved from a closed position to an open position, the connection moves upward, thereby carrying the container holder (215) and the container (204) which are moved upward lifting the container (204) off of the product holder (2 10).
