Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve long standing problems relating to instability of organic materials in alkaline detergents, including the reversion or hydrolysis of condensed phosphate sequestrants in alkaline solid detergent compositions. SOLUTION: The problems can be alleviated by the use of an organic composition having vicinal hydroxyls. Such a solid block detergent can be manufactured by a process in which a source of alkalinity, a functional material including a condensed phosphate sequestering agent, an organic compound having two vicinal hydroxyl groups, are combined in a pourable composition or liquid. Such a liquid can be introduced into a plastic capsule and solidified. During manufacture and solidification, we have found that the vicinal hydroxyl compound prevents substantial hydrolysis or reversion of the condensed phosphate maintaining effective hardness ion sequestration during the use of the detergent. The stabilizer can also stabilize color, chlorine content and dispensing properties. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
A degreasing composition is disclosed comprising an alkyl polyglucoside; and a nonionic surfactant having a carbon chain of C6 or less. The nonionic surfactant comprises linear C6 alcohol ethoxylate. In an embodiment the linear Ce alcohol ethoxylate comprises from about 3 to about 6 moles of ethylene oxide. In another embodiment the alkyl polyglucoside and the alcohol ethoxylate comprise an active ratio of from about 3:1 to about 1:1 in the composition. The composition of the invention is useful in formulating a laundry detergent, a hard surface cleaner, an automatic dishwashing detergent, a hand dishwashing detergent, an oven cleaner, hand soap, or an automotive detergent.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of diluting a liquid concentrate with a liquid diluent to form a use solution, wherein the use solution has a higher viscosity than either the concentrate or the diluent.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition including a sulfonated functionalized alkyl polyglucoside, a co- surfactant, a water conditioning agent and water. The sulfonated functionalized alkyl polyglucoside is one of a C12 sulfonated functionalized alkyl polyglucoside, a C10-C12 blend of a sulfonated functionalized alkyl polyglucoside or a C10 sulfonated functionalized alkyl polyglucoside. The co-surfactant comprises a C6- C12 alcohol ethoxylate having between 3 and 10 moles of EO. In one embodiment, the cleaning composition is substantially free of alkyl phenol ethoxylates. The cleaning composition is capable of removing soils including up to 20% proteins and has a neutral pH.
Abstract:
The invention includes a composition for conditioning fabrics comprising from 2 wt.-% to 35 wt.-% of an ester quaternary ammonium compound, and from 0,2 wt.-% to 12 wt.-% of a polyether aminofunctional silicone.

Abstract:
A hand soap concentrate and a hand soap use solution are provided. The hand soap concentrate is provided with a viscosity of less than about 200 cps. The hand soap concentrate can be mixed with an aqueous solution to provide a use solution having a viscosity of greater than about 1,000 cps. A method for modifying a hand soap concentrate to provide a higher viscosity hand soap use solution is provided. The hand soap concentrate includes a surfactant component for removal of soil, and a component for increasing viscosity with mixing with an aqueous solution.
