Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective cleaning method for cleaning a hard floor surface which is capable of restoring a virtually clean hard floor surface with non-slip properties effectively. SOLUTION: This cleaning method for a hard floor surface of a biscuit firing ceramic tile hardened by grout which has complex soils including fat and Ca salt of fatty acid includes the following sequential processes (a) to (c): (a) first of all, a first cleaner having alkaline pH contacts the hard floor surface where the complex soils exist, and a mechanical force is applied to the complex soils; (b) next, a second cleaner having acidic pH contacts the treated floor surface and adds mechanical soil removing operation; and (c) then, a third cleaner having neutral pH contacts the treated floor surface. Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for cleaning an article with an intermediate concentration cleaning composition, and to the compositions. The method includes contacting the article with the intermediate concentration cleaning composition and then contacting the article with the composition diluted.
Abstract:
A liquid detergent composition is described. The liquid detergent composition includes an emulsion having a water phase and an oil phase. The liquid detergent composition includes a detersive amount of a nonionic surfactant component, an emulsion stabilizing amount of a cationic surfactant component, about 5 wt. % to about 94 wt. % water, and at least about 5 wt. % of a suspended particulate component. A detergent use solution and methods for using a liquid detergent composition are described.
Abstract:
A method for treating laundry is provided. The method includes steps of applying a bleaching and antimicrobial composition to laundry in a laundry washing machine at a first Ph that favors bleaching properties and at a second pH that favors antimicrobial properties, wherein the first pH and the second pH are different, and draining the bleaching and antimicrobial composition from the laundry. The step of applying a bleaching and antimicrobial composition to laundry can include a step of washing the laundry with a detergent composition for the removal of soil. In addition, the step of applying a bleaching and antimicrobial composition to laundry can preceed or follow a step of washing laundry with a detergent composition for the removal of soil. A bleaching and antimicrobial composition and a laundry washing machine are provided.
Abstract:
The invention includes a method of conditioning fabrics, comprising conta cting fabric with a liquid composition comprising an amino-functional silico ne and a quaternary ammonium, and drying said fabric at 200 degrees F or gre ater. The invention includes a method of conditioning fabrics, comprising wa shing fabric in a detergent having a wash pH of greater than 10, contacting fabric with a liquid composition comprising an amino- functional silicone an d a quaternary ammonium, and drying said fabric at less than 200 degrees F. The invention further provides a method of conditioning fabrics wherein soft ness, anti-static, and anti-wrinkle properties are imparted to the fabric wh erein the conditioned fabric resists yellowing in industrial and institution al conditions wherein the wash pH is greater than 9 and/or the fabric temper ature is 200 degrees Fahrenheit or greater.
Abstract:
Method of cleaning a hard surface (e.g. floor) in order to remove a complex soil comprises contacting the surface with a first cleaning composition which has a non-neutral pH and then contacting the surface with a second cleaning composition which has a complementary non-neutral pH to that of the first cleaning composition. (The term "complementary" refers to acidic or alkaline as appropriate). Mechanical force may be employed during the application of either or both of the cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
A liquid detergent concentrate is provided. The liquid detergent concentrate includes about 1 wt.% to about 40 wt.% combination anionic surfactant component and nonionic surfactant component containing about 0.5wt.% to abou t 30 wt.% anionic surfactant and about 0.5 wt.% to about 30 wt.% nonionic surfactant, about 5 wt.% to about 60 wt.% of a water conditioning agent, and about 40 wt.% to about 95 wt.% water. The liquid detergent concentrate can b e diluted with water to provide a liquid detergent use solution containing greater than 95 wt.% water. A method for washing textiles is provided.
Abstract:
The hard floor surface in common food preparation sites can have complex soils that are difficult to remove. Such floor can have two surface qualities. A first surface contains an array of quarry tile. The second surface contains a grid of grout lines surrounding the tile completing the surface. Each surface provides particular soil removal problems. We have found a unique product sequence, used in a method for cleaning hard surface or hard quarry tile floors, that is surprisingly effective in removing soil from both the floor tile surface and grout lines. The resulting clean floor surface maintains a clean quarry tile surface, a white new appearing grout line having no substantial build-up of soil residue. The floors obtain a clean, slip-free surface that is clean, sanitized, and has improved safety from slip and fall accidents.
