Abstract:
An apparatus and method for creating ready-to-use products from a concentrated form of the products is disclosed. The apparatus generally comprises a source of one or more concentrated products. These concentrated products are delivered to a point of use which typically may be a small, consumer-sized container. The apparatus dilutes the concentrated product to an appropriate level. The final, ready-to-use product can be a wide variety of cleaning products. A method is also disclosed for creating this ready-to-use product.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a container 10, 25 for dispensing of detergents and other solid chemicals, and a method for manufacturing the container 10, 25. The container 10, 25 has a paperboard housing 11, 26 which contains a plastic bladder 21, 27. The exposed surface of the solid chemical is covered by a cap 12, 32. A handle 16, 37 is provided. The container 10, 25 is suitable for use in a dispensing device 40.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention is an alkaline cleaning system which includes an alkaline detergent composition having a pH greater than 10.5 when diluted to a 1 wt-% aqueous solution, and an alkali stable continuous polymeric film dispersible or soluble in aqueous liquids covering the detergent composition. The invention also includes methods of using the alkaline cleaning system by applying an aqueous diluent automatically (by machine) or manually through partial or complete dissolution of the film covered solid.

Abstract:
The invention is a solid chemical concentrate system of at least two cooperative shapes. The first shape is an inwardly curved bar having an inner opening. The second shape is an insert which is capable of interlocking with the bar by insertion into the bar inner opening. The solid chemical concentrate provides chemical systems having active constituents which may be the same, different but compatible or functionally and chemically incompatible combined within one matrix to provide at least one substantially continuous surface. The system may also comprise an aqueous soluble or dispersible polymeric film cover.
Abstract:
A method for creating ready-to-use products from a concentrated form of the products for sale at a retail price is disclosed. The apparatus to create the ready-to-use products generally comprises a source of one or more concentrated products. These concentrated products are delivered to a point of use which typically may be a small, consumer-sized container. The apparatus dilutes the concentrated product to an appropriate level. The final, ready-to-use product can be a wide variety of cleaning products. The method provides for a larger profit to the retailer than normally available from the sale of pre-filled cleaning products.
