Abstract: A gear pump and seal for use therewith utilize a grease sealant disposed in a sealant chamber between a pair of annular seal members to both lubricate the drive shaft and restrict leakage from the seal chamber into the pumping chamber. The gear pump and seal are particularly adapted for use in delivering caustic pumping fluids in vacuum applications.
