Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which generates and control a maintenance discharge using control means of low output and low voltage. SOLUTION: In a plasma flat display panel including a sealing body filled with sealing gas, an upper glass substrate 12 is provide at the sealing body. The upper glass substrate 12 has a plurality of parallel maintenance electrodes 22, 24 formed an inner surface of the substrate, further there is provided at least one assistant electrode 27 which corresponds respective maintenance electrodes formed at the inner surface between the corresponding maintenance electrodes.
