Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling traffic pollution are disclosed. An environmental score and a financial incentive based on the environmental score may be provided. A vehicle having a pollution recording unit may be provided. The pollution recording unit may be configured to provide an environmental score based on the pollution behavior of the vehicle. A financial incentive may be determined based on the environmental score at a processing device communicatively coupled to the pollution recording unit. The financial incentive may be provided to an operator of the vehicle.
