Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder-contg. composition capable of giving magnetic recording media having such sufficient hardness and wear resistance as to be preservable and operable even at high temperatures and high humidities, thus favorably usable for producing magnetic recording media. SOLUTION: This binder-contg. composition comprises at least one thermoplastic blocked copolyurethane having at least one soft segment A and at least one hard segment B and at least one kind of inorganic filler; wherein the thermoplastic blocked copolyurethane is such that the at least one hard segment B has a structural moiety shown by the formula I. This binder-contg. composition can be used for producing, in particular magnetic recording media.
