Abstract: A pipette for use with a pipette tip or syringe including a piston positioned within a cylinder comprises a pipette housing extending between an upper end and a lower end and containing a lifting rod. The output comprises a first rod including at least one tooth row, a second rod fixedly connected to the lifting rod, and two pinions each comprising a diameter and configured to be rotationally fixed to a common shaft. One of the two pinions meshes with the at least one tooth row and the second of the two pinions meshes with teeth of the second rod.

Dabei umfasst der Sperrmechanismus (40) einen Sperrschieber (42), welcher mit einem mit dem Zählwerk (30) gekoppelten Verrieglungsring (44) derart in Wirkverbindung steht, dass der Sperrschieber (42) in einer ersten Position eine Verstellung des Pipettiervolumens ermöglicht und in einer zweiten Position eine Verdrehung des Verriegelungsrings (44) und des mit dem Verriegelungsring (44) gekoppelten Zählwerk sperrt.
