Abstract:
A method and nodes adapted to provide personalized multimedia services for users having registered a media player (300, 400, 401, 501, 502, 606) to a multimedia network, on the basis of the content (301, 500) read by a code reader (302, 405, 503), connected to or integrated with the media player. Content decoded from a code is used for creating or updating a user preference data record (700, 701) linked to by the identity with which the respective media player is registered. An application server (305, 402, 506, 600) being responsible for personalizing a requested service is interconnected with one or more preference databases (306, 407, 603), and one or more content databases (308, 408, 605) and/or dedicated servers (507). Upon receiving a service request, the application server, access relevant data from the mentioned nodes and assembles personalization instructions, adapted to trigger the requested personalized service in the requesting media player.
Abstract:
A method for enabling traffic acceleration in a mobile telecommunication network. The method may include receiving, at a Radio Network Node, a reply message from a content delivery provider located outside the mobile telecommunication network; intercepting the reply message; extracting a token from the reply message; and comparing the token with a stored token in the Radio Network Node. The method may further include replacing in the reply message, an Internet protocol IP address of a content delivery provider server with a preset IP address corresponding to an acceleration edge server in the mobile network, when there is a match between the token and the stored token; and sending from the Radio Network Node the modified reply message to a mobile terminal.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication between user equipments includes retrieving user data and a criterion via a software application on a first wireless user equipment having communication interfaces. One of the interfaces is selected based on the criterion. The interface is used to identify wireless user equipments in a proximity of the first user equipment. A total number of user equipments in the proximity of the first user equipment is determined, and, when the number is below a value, another interface is selected. The other interface is used to identify wireless user equipments in the proximity of the first user equipment. A match between the user data of the first user equipment and user data of a second user equipment, causes initiation of wireless communication between the first and the second user equipments by sending to any of the user equipments a message associated with the match.
Abstract:
A method and arrangement for enabling delivery of an IT-service to a client, wherein execution of the IT-service requires resources in a cloud architecture. First, a plurality of predefined cloud computing services and respective requirements for resources, are registered. Then, service subscriptions and associated subscription identities, valid in a telecommunications network, are provisioned for the predefined cloud computing services. One of the service subscriptions and associated subscription identity is assigned to an identity module, for enabling delivery of the IT-service to the client by providing an associated predefined cloud computing service when the client uses the identity module. Then, activity of the assigned service subscription is monitored in the network based on the associated subscription identity, and resources are allocated in the cloud architecture according to the assigned service subscription, when it is detected that the assigned service subscription is activated or has been activated.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for selecting suitable peers CL1-CL5 in a peer to peer network for content downloading. The method comprises: - Requesting addresses of peers possessing a specified content. - Receiving to an operator node MON4, a reply comprising the requested addresses. - Modifying 3 the reply, which modifying is based on operator preference available to the operator node. - Sending the modified reply to a requesting client.
Abstract:
A method, network, and node for distributing content across a plurality of content cache nodes to provide optimal access to the content. Relevant, e.g. popular, content is distributed as close as possible to the user or group of users that have the highest probability of requesting the content. In addition, content is relocated to caching nodes higher in the aggregation network as content become less demanded, e.g. less popular. Portions of the content are distributed in a plurality of content cache nodes, and locations where particular portions of the content are requested by users with greater frequency than other locations are determined. The content portions are then migrated to content cache nodes closer to the locations where the particular portions of the content are requested by users with greater frequency.
Abstract:
A system, computer readable medium and method for providing to a user device (20) location information of a data device that provides a specific asset, where the user device (20) is present in a network (32) that includes at least a serving node (36) and an address of the user device (20) is indicative of a gateway node (35) that is different from the serving node (36). The method includes receiving at the serving node (36) a first message from the user device (20), the first message including a request for the specific asset; sending the first message from the serving node (36) to the gateway node (35); receiving at the serving node (36) a second message from the gateway node (35), the second message including a first location of a first data device (44) that provides the specific asset; modifying at the serving node (36) the second message to include an indication about a second location of a second data device (46) that provides the specific asset, where the first location is different from the second location; and sending the modified second message including the second location to the user device (20) for accessing the specific asset.
