Abstract:
Abstract:
The teachings relates to method (40) in a target network (node16) of a target core network in a first domain during handover, in the first and in a second domain, of a communication device (20) from a source radio access network to a target radio access network. The source radio access network comprises a source access node (11) and the target radio access network comprises a target access (node12). The method (40) comprises determining (41) whether the communication device (20) has access admission to the target core network; when a hand over fails generating (42) a hand over failure message comprising an information element “Independent domain HandOver”, where in the information element is set to a predefined value indicating whether the hand over failed due to lack of access rights or for other reasons than lack of access rights. The teachings also relates to devices and further to methods in source nodes.
Abstract:
A first node in a connection network and a method for providing said first node with information related to a geographical position of a user terminal, which connection network comprises said first node, a second node and an access network, wherein: the first node has access to at least one user terminal via a wireless interface provided by the access network; and the second node is connected to the first node and has access to at least one external network, which method is characterized by the steps of: sending a session request from the second node to the first node; and sending a session response from the first node to the second node after receiving said session request, which session response comprises information related to a geographical position of the terminal associated with the session in question.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a method for a data packet based wireless mobile communications network. The network comprises a core network (CN) and a radio area network (RAN). The core network (CN) comprises a control plane node (MME) intercommunicating with a user plane node (SAE GW). The radio area network comprises a mobile user equipment (UE) intercommunicating with a radio base transceiver station (eNOdeB) wherein payload data is routed via a tunnel between the user plane node (SAE GW) and the base transceiver station (eNodeB), wherein the method comprises the step of establishing a temporary tunnel between the user plane node (SAE GW) and the radio base transceiver station (eNodeB), the establishment of the temporary tunnel being initiated by the base transceiver station (eNodeB) transmitting an unreliable uplink data signal to the user plane node (SAE GW).
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus in telecommunications, and particularly to reducing signaling in a core network involved in changes of states of a wireless terminal(4). According to the disclosure a reduced context is allocated based on parameters received by a base station (2). The reduced context is used by the base station for reconfiguring a RRC connection between the wireless terminal (4) and the base station (2) by means of the reduced context, such that the signaling is hidden from a Serving GateWay, SGW (10).

Abstract:
Abstract:
The embodiments herein relate to a method in a first target CN node (201) for handling handover of a wireless device from a source CN node (205) to another CN node. The first target CN node (201) receives, from the source CN node (205), a request message to hand over the wireless device. The first target CN node (201) determines that the first target CN node (201) is unsuitable for handover. The first target CN node (201) determines if there is at least one candidate second target CN node (203) suitable for handover. The first target CN node (201) determines whether the request message should be forwarded to the at least one candidate second target CN node (203) or whether the source CN node (205) should be informed regarding if there is at least one candidate second target CN node (203) that is suitable. Abstract:
A machine type device for deployment in a wireless network includes a processing circuit operable to generate an application layer message and a request including information identifying the machine type device as capable of using a particular protocol stack. After radio resources are setup between the machine type device and the base station controller, the processing circuit is further operable to transmit the application layer message and a local wireless network alias to a base station controller, the local wireless network alias indicating the machine type device is capable of using the particular protocol stack.
