Abstract:
A communication method for use in a wireless communications network is proposed, said method comprising the steps of—monitoring at least one property representative of the channel variability in time and/or frequency, for each of at least two channels in the cell, used to communicate with said at least two user terminals; —using the result of the monitoring to control, by a control node in the network or in one of the user terminals, the communication in the cell. The control of the communication may include artificially inducing time selectivity and/or frequency selectivity or selecting an operating mode for the cell.
Abstract:
Throughput conditions limited by multiplicative noise may be improved by distributing a transmission power across MlMO data streams communicated between MIMO communication nodes. In particular, the transmission power is distributed based on knowledge at the transmitter of the MIMO channel to decrease the transmission power allocated to one or more of the data streams associated with a dominant signal path relative to the transmission power allocated to one or more data streams associated with a weaker signal path to increase at least one of a quality and a throughput condition of the MIMO channel.

El método y aparato de MIMO descritos en el presente documento mejoran las condiciones de un caudal limitado por el ruido multiplicativo mediante la reducción de la ganancia de las emisiones de datos asociados con una o más trayectorias de señal dominantes entre los nodos de comunicación de MIMO. Como se usa en la presente descripción, el ruido multiplicativo se refiere a cualquier ruido que depende de o es proporcional a una fuerza de la señal en un nodo de transmisión y/o un nodo de recepción de una red de comunicación inalámbrica. Un método y un aparato adicional se incluyen para determinar que el ruido multiplicativo limita las condiciones de rendimiento.
