A method performed by a first user equipment (121) for performing Device-to- Device, D2D, communications with a second user equipment (122)is provided. The first user equipment (121) determines that a valid timing reference is not present in the first user equipment (121). Also,the first user equipment (121) determines whether a preconfigured timing advance can be used in the D2D communication. Then, when determined that the preconfigured timing advance can be used, the first user equipment (121) transmits a D2D signal to the second user equipment (122) with a timing using the preconfigured timing advance to perform D2D communication. A user equipment (121), a network node (110)and method therein for enabling D2D communications between user equipments (121, 122) in a radio communications network (100) are also provided.

Methods and arrangements for handling uplink transmit power reporting in a radio access network of a cellular radio system. A wireless terminal provides a respective transmit power report for at least one of multiple uplink reference signal transmission configurations comprised in the wireless terminal. Each configuration caused the wireless terminal to configure a transmission of an uplink reference signal that is to be received by the network node. The respective transmit power report provides information about a transmit power used by the wireless terminal for transmitting the uplink reference signal. The wireless terminal sends the respective transmit power report to a network node of the cellular radio system.

The present disclosure relates to methods and to a wireless device, 10,20, for enabling device-to-device communication. In particular the present disclosure relates to a method comprising configuring, direct control messages and reference signals, based on the capability and state of the wireless device with regards to device to device communication. The method comprises, associating, S1a, in the wireless device, at least one direct control message to a synchronisation reference signal, configuring, S2a, the at least one direct control message and/or the synchronisation reference signal, such that a recipient can identify the association between the at least one direct control message and the synchronisation reference signal, using the configuration of the direct control message and/or the synchronisation reference signal; and transmitting, S3, the at least one direct control message.

The present disclosure relates to methods and to a wireless device, 10, 20, for enabling device-to-device communication. In particular the present disclosure relates to a method, performed in a radio node, of assigning resources for direct control signalling. The method comprises receiving, S1, from at least one further radio node, 160, sets of resources for direct control signalling in a respective cell or cluster. The method further comprises assigning, S2, resources for direct control signalling transmission within an area controlled by the radio node based at least on the received sets of resources, and transmitting, S3, to wireless devices controlled by the radio node, a message indicating resources assigned for direct control signalling. The disclosure also relates to the corresponding method in a wireless device and to a radio and to a wireless device implementing the methods, as well as to corresponding computer programs.

Systems and methods for transmitting uplink control signals in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, a wireless device configured to operate in a cellular communications network includes a radio subsystem and a processing subsystem. The processing subsystem selects a value for at least one parameter for an uplink control channel format based on content to be transmitted in an uplink control channel transmission according to the uplink control channel format. The processing subsystem then transmits, via the radio subsystem, the content in an uplink control channel transmission according to the uplink control channel format and the value for the at least one parameter for the uplink control channel format selected based on the content.

Embodiments are disclosed which improve the accuracy of measurement quantities obtained based on filtered measurements, by enabling filter memory reset events triggered by specific configuration and/or reconfiguration commands. According to some embodiments, a method for obtaining a measurement quantity is provided. The measurement quantity is based on a filtered reference signal (RS) measurement value. The method is executed in a wireless device, e.g. a user equipment (UE). According to the method, the wireless device receives (1410) a filter reset indication. In response to the indication, the wireless device resets (1420) one or more RS measurement filters. The wireless device then obtains (1430) a new filtered RS measurement value, and obtains (1440) the measurement quantity based on the new filtered RS measurement value.
