Abstract:
The present invention relates to a subscription-based measurement concept where the detailed parameters for a certain measurement report are set by a measurement provider, i.e. a radio base station, instead of the measurement requester. For this purpose the measurement provider "publishes" a certain set of measurements that controller units for radio resource management (RRM) can subscribe to. According to the present invention parameters of measurements are defined in detail in the measuring entity, i.e. the target radio base station, as opposed to being defined by the requesting entity, i. e. the RRM controller.

Un método para procesar información de transacción de estación móvil en un nodo de control de servicio en un sistema de comunicación inalámbrica, comprendiendo el método: recibir (310, 410) un registro de histórico de transacción desde un nodo de control de transferencia junto con un primer traspaso de una estación móvil (160) al nodo de control de servicio; añadir (330, 340, 350, 460) datos de transacción de estación móvil relativos al nodo de control de servicio, al registro de histórico de transacción para obtener un registro de histórico de transacción actualizado, caracterizado porque dicha adición de datos de transacción de estación móvil comprende añadir una identidad de célula para el nodo de control de servicio y uno o más de entre un descriptor de célula y uno o más parámetros de tiempo que indican una duración de tiempo durante el que la estación móvil (160) estuvo servida por el nodo de control de servicio, en donde los datos de transacción de estación móvil son generados por el nodo de control de servicio, y transferir (360, 470) el registro de histórico de transacción actualizado a un nodo de control objetivo junto con un traspaso subsiguiente de la estación móvil (160) al nodo de control objetivo.

Un método en una estación base (10) para determinar un modo de energía a adoptar por la estación base, quecomprende las etapas de: - determinar (82) una carga de celda que indica actividad de equipos de usuario dentro de una primera celda local dela estación base (10); caracterizado por - recibir (86) información de carga de celda desde un dispositivo de comunicación, que comprende una indicación deactividad de equipos de usuario dentro de una segunda celda asociada con el dispositivo de comunicación, y - determinar (88) el modo de energía a adoptar por la estación base (10) en base a la información de carga de celdarecibida y a la carga determinada en la primera celda local.

A technique for handling radio link failure in a communication network (10) is provided. A method implementation of this technique comprises the steps of maintaining radio link failure information including the identifier of a user equipment (UE) effected by the radio link failure together with at least one of a time stamp of when the radio link failure was detected and a reference to a cell (C1) which was serving the user equipment (UE) before the radio link failure was detected, receiving reconnection information including an identifier of a reconnected user equipment (UE) effected by a radio link failure after the user equipment (UE) is reconnected to the communication network and correlating the radio link failure information with the reconnection information to obtain a correlation result.

A method for processing mobile station transaction information at a serving control node in a wireless communication system and a first control node for use in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The first control node (500) comprises a processing unit (510). The processing unit is configured to receive a transaction history record from a transferring control node in association with a first handover of a mobile station to the first control node; add mobile station transaction data related to the first control node to the transaction history record to obtain an updated transaction history record, by adding a cell identification parameter for the serving control node and one or more of a cell descriptor and one or more time parameters indicating a length of time for which the mobile station was served by the serving control node. The mobile station transaction data is generated by the serving control node. The processing unit is further configured to transfer the updated transaction history record to a target control node in association with a subsequent handover of the mobile station.

A traffic plane entity (e.g., user plane entity (UPE), serving gateway (S-GW)) and method are described herein for allocating a unique identifier (e.g., UPE/S-GW UE-Context-Id) which identifies and unifies a set of bearers within a UE context that is associated with a given UE. In operation, the traffic plane entity can then send the allocated unique identifier to another entity (e.g., mobility management entity (MME)) which at a subsequent time re-sends the unique identifier back to the traffic plane entity along with a request to have the traffic plane entity perform a specific operation or procedure on the bearers associated with the UE context of the given UE. Upon receiving the request, the traffic plane entity uses the unique identifier to perform the requested operation or procedure simultaneously on all of the bearers associated with the UE context of the given UE.
