Abstract:
The inventive lens comprises an organic glass substrate having front and rear main surfaces, at least one primer coat deposited on at least one of the main surfaces of the substrate, whereby said primer coat consists of a mixture of at least biophasic particles, whereby a first phase is composed of a P1 soft-character polymer with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of less than 20 DEG C and a second phase is composed of a hard-character P2 polymer with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of more than 50 DEG C and at least one coat of an anti-abrasive covering composition deposited on the primer. The invention can be used for eye glasses.
Abstract:
The ophthalmic lens according to the invention comprises a substrate made of organic glass, having front and rear main faces, at least one primer layer deposited on at least one of the main faces of the substrate, the said primer layer comprising an aggregate of at least two-phase particles, a first phase of which consists of a polymer P1 with a soft character having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of less than 20° C. and a second phase of which consists of a polymer P2 with a hard character having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of greater than 50° C., and at least one layer of an abrasion-resistant coating composition deposited on the primer layer. Application to lenses for spectacles.
Abstract:
Ophthalmic lens comprises organic glass substrate A having main front and rear faces, with at least one primer impact-resistant layer B deposited on at least one of substrate A faces, and comprising copolymer or mixture of copolymers selected from statistic copolymers; and at least one layer of anti-abrasion coating C deposited on layer B. Ophthalmic lens comprises organic glass substrate A having main front and rear faces, with at least one primer impact-resistant layer B deposited on at least one of substrate A faces, and comprising copolymer or mixture of copolymers selected from statistic copolymers of 3-10(preferably 3-6)C alkyl acrylate (a) and 1-2C alkyl methacrylate (b); and at least one layer of anti-abrasion coating C deposited on layer B. Layer B contains no photochromic agent with nucleus of formula (I), and preferably no photochromic agent at all. Layer B can be deposited on main rear face of A, or on each of both main faces, and has thickness 0.1-2.5 microns. Additional anti-reflection layer E can be deposited on anti-abrasion coat layer C. Organic substrate A has preferably negative optical power and thickness in center 0.7-1.2 mm. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the process of increasing of impact resistance of ophthalmic lens in which at least one of main faces of substrate A is coated with primary impact resistant layer B of composition as claimed, which is then coated with anti-abrasion layer C of composition as described below; and (2) ophthalmic lens as claimed, where statistic copolymer of A is a copolymer of butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate with photochromic property.
