    Abstract: The assembly has an ophthalmic lens (1), and a support (4) on which the lens is mounted and including studs (6) for maintaining the lens through its circular edge (2). A notch (3) formed in the circular edge presents a U-shaped section and extends through the height of the circular edge. The lens is centered by cooperating the edge with the studs and is indexed angularly by engaging one of the studs in the notch. An independent claim is also included for a method of treating an ophthalmic lens.
