    Abstract: The process according to the invention is of the kind according to which an additive substance (11) is diffused in a controlled manner within a base substance (10) which, made up of at least one partially polymerised monomer capable of resulting in a homopolymer of refractive index N1, is in the state of a gel, the additive substance itself being made up of at least one monomer capable of producing a homopolymer of refractive index N2 which differs from N1. According to the invention the additive substance (11) chosen is a mixture of at least two monomers (A, B) and the composition of this mixture is varied with time.
