Abstract: Un verre ophtalmique comprend un substrat transparent (3) et des moyens électro-optiques (5) intégrés au substrat pour procurer une fonction optique en réponse à un stimulus électrique. Le verre ophtalmique comprend en outre au moins une cellule photovoltaïque (6) intégrée au substrat pour alimenter les moyens électro-optiques en réponse à une lumière incidente et, optionnellement, un circuit de contrôle de la tension électrique. La cellule photovoltaïque (6) peut être incorporée à un élément opaque occupant une petite partie de la surface du verre. Alternativement, la cellule photovoltaïque (6) peut être transparente et peut recouvrir au moins en partie la surface du verre.
