Abstract: The invention provides composite elastic nonwoven fabrics and the process of making them. The elastic nonwoven composite fabrics of the invention are formed from the combination of a plurality of cooperative elastic layers including an elastomeric meltblown web and an elastomeric spunbonded web. The elastomeric layers are joined together in a unitary elastic fabric structure to provide a composite having a desirable combination of elastic and barrier properties.

Abstract: L'invention se rapporte à des étoffes non tissées élastiques composites et au procédé pour les fabriquer. Ces étoffes élastiques composites contiennent un filet élastomère et au moins une nappe de fibres, qui renferme des fibres de liaison et qui est intimement emmêlée en milieu humide avec le filet élastomère. Au moins une partie des fibres de liaison dans la nappe de fibres emmêlée en milieu humide ont été activées par voie thermique, afin d'obtenir la liaison de la nappe emmêlée en milieu humide pour que celle-ci forme une structure essentiellement unitaire cohérente enveloppant le filet élastomère.
