Abstract: Disclosed is a method for freezing a nonmetal melt (130) located in a crucible (120) that is arranged in an apparatus (100) which comprises a plurality of inductors (100) to generate magnetic fields. A first traveling magnetic field (W1) is generated in the melt (130) by feeding a first set of phase-displaced alternating currents (I1a, I2b, I3c, I4d) having a first frequency (f1). A second traveling magnetic field (W2) that travels against the direction of the first traveling magnetic field (W1) is generated in the melt (130) by feeding at least one second set of phase-displaced alternating currents (I2a, I2b, I3c, I4d) having a second frequency (f2). The inductors (100) are disposed on the crucible (120) in a vertical arrangement such that the generated alternating fields (W1, W2) travel through the melt (130) in a vertical direction (Y) and have a minimum flow rate along the wall of the crucible or vessel.

The coil elements are arranged one above the other and comprise hollow coil windings, which contain electrically conducting molten melt and are connected with a power supply mechanism arranged outside the growing chamber over coil connections led by the growing chamber. The induction coil is arranged between the heating device and the crucible, encloses the crucible and is arranged within the growing chamber so that it encloses the heating device. The coil elements consist of high-temperature-resistant material. The coil windings of the coil elements are spirally formed.

Abstract: The device for the production of silicon crystals from electrical conductive melts, exhibits a crucible (20) having melt (22) arranged in a growth chamber (23), a heating arrangement (24) surrounding the crucible, and a power supply unit arranged outsides of the chamber. The power supply unit stands in connection with a controller, which stands in connection with power modules. The heating arrangement is implemented as a multi coil arrangement, which controls three connections that are led through the growth chamber. The device for the production of silicon crystals from electrical conductive melts, exhibits a crucible (20) having melt (22) arranged in a growth chamber (23), a heating arrangement (24) surrounding the crucible, and a power supply unit arranged outsides of the chamber. The power supply unit stands in connection with a controller, which stands in connection with power modules. The heating arrangement is implemented as a multi coil arrangement, which controls three connections that are led through the growth chamber. The first power module is connected with coils of heating arrangement by the connections (7, 9) and the second power is connected with coils of heating arrangement by other connections (8, 9). The power modules are connected with an absolute measurement at outside of the chamber. The multi coil arrangement is connected with the energy supply unit on outsides of the growth chamber and is constructed out of any integral coil numbers. The coils show infinitely variable spiral windings and are connected in series connection and/or parallel connection with one another. The controller arranged outside of the growth chamber, comprises a pulse-width modulator for controlling the power module, a low pass for the filtration of frequencies, a sinus voltage generator, a phase modifier for the generation of phase displacements, a measuring unit for measuring flow- and voltage measurement values and a data processing system for monitoring control operations. The data processing system is arranged as the pulse-width modulator. The power modules stand in connection with the low pass, the measuring unit and the data processing unit.
