Abstract: The maintenance equipment, designed to be introduced into the water chamber (2) of a nuclear reactor steam generator heat exchanger having a hemispherical outer wall (3) with an inspection port (8) and an inner transverse tube plate (4), consists of a beam (16) carrying a turret (15) and at least one maintenance tool (24) which can be introduced through the inspection port. The beam (16) is able to move relative to the turret by a rack and pinion mechanism and acts as a guide for at least one carriage (20) supporting the maintenance tool (24). The turret has at least one head (36) for fixing it to the tube plate, and the maintenance equipment carries cameras (12, 51) for monitoring its operations.
