Abstract: A diffuser having at least three parts separable and couplable along coupling surfaces passing through the whole of its body between its inner and outer surfaces and between its coupling end with the suction pipe and its opposite end. Each of the parts of the diffuser is machined along an annular groove portion with a trapezoidal cross-section and includes an annular projection. The volute comprises an annular groove for the engagement of the projections. A centering part including an annular portion with a trapezoidal cross-section is removably fixed to the volute and is engaged in the groove formed by the groove portions. The invention is particularly applicable to primary pumps of pressurized water nuclear reactors.

Abstract: A centrifugal pump for the circulation of fluid, comprising a flow-chamber through which passes an inlet neck and which is bounded at the opposite side from the latter by a cross wall, a rotor mounted at the end of a drive shaft located in prolongation of the axis of the inlet neck, and a stator comprising an outer toroidal shroud located in prolongation of the outer shroud of the rotor, the latter being surrounded by a fixed part for connection between the end of the inlet neck and the outer shroud of the stator. The rotor is guided axially by a hydrostatic bearing consisting of a journal which is arranged on the upstream portion of the outer shroud of the rotor and cooperates with a bearing arranged on the part for connection of the stator to the inlet neck, the bearing comprising a plurality of bearing pockets placed in communication with the flow chamber and thus fed by the fluid flowing through the pump at the pressure prevailing in the flow chamber.

Abstract: L'invention a pour objet une pompe centrifuge de circulation de fluide, comprenant une chambre d'écoulement traversée par une tubulure d'entrée et limitée du côté à celleci par une paroi transversale, un rotor monté à l'extrémité d'un arbre moteur placé dans le prolongement de l'axe de la tubulure d'entrée comprenant un flasque extérieur torique placé dans le prolongement du flasque extérieur du rotor, ce dernier étant entouré par une pièce fixe de raccordement entre l'extrémité de la tubulure d'entrée et le flasque extérieur du stator. Selon l'invention, le rotor est guidé axialement par un palier hydrostatique constitué d'un tourillon ménagé sur la partie amont du flasque extérieur du rotor et coopérant avec un coussinet ménagé sur la pièce de raccordement du stator avec la tubulure d'entrée, ledit coussinet comprenant une pluralité d'alvéoles de portance mises en communication avec la chambre d'écoulement et alimentées ainsi par le fluide circulant dans la pompe à la pression régnant dans la chambre d'écoulement. L'invention s'applique spécialement aux pompes de circulation du fluide réfrigérent dans les réacteurs nucléaires.

La volute comporte une gorge annulaire pour l'engagement des saillies. Une pièce de centrage comportant une partie annulaire à section trapèzoïdale est fixée de façon amovible sur la volute et s'engage dans la gorge formée par les portions de gorge. L'invention s'applique en particulier aux pompes primaires de réacteurs nucléaires à eau sous pression.
