    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate system-down due to a failure from a frame generating section, by confirming the folding of a frame of a main logical section, when a monitor section detects out-of-synchronism of a system in use. CONSTITUTION:Each remote terminal station is under loop transmission by an N system transmission line, an N system repeater, an N major logical section 6, and a channel section 7 normally. In case of a failure of the N system, the failure is detected at the monitor section and the system N and E are changed over. Especially, in case of out-of-synchronism, it is detected and an electric folding section 9 of the system in use is operated for the performance of the frame test, and if the failure is a failure of a frame generating section of the N major logical section, the logical section is instantly switched to the E major logical section 6'.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a communication fault from occurring, by detecting degradation of the light emitting element of the optical transmitter of the preceeding station by respective node stations, which constitute an optical communication loop network, and a supervisory control station to transmit an alarm signal. CONSTITUTION:In each node station and a supervisory control station, the optical signal from an optical signal input terminal 10 is converted to an electric signal in a light receiving part 1, and the signal is taken out to an output terminal 1 through an amplifier 3 and a waveform shaping circuit 4. A part of this signal is applied to a light receiving level monitor part 7 through a peak-to-peak value detecting circuit 6 and an automatic gain adjusting circuit 5. At this time, since the photodetector has the characteristic changed by temperature, it is corrected by a temperature correcting circuit 8. When the photodetector is degraded and the level is lowered in a certain degree, an alarm circuit 9 transmits an alarm to an alarm output terminal 12. The time slot issued always for monitor is provided with one bit for insertion of the local address and the level alarm to transmit this alarm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of maintenance when one transmission system is troubled in a working and spare double-loop network by connecting the transmitting/receiving part of the spare system to the transmission line of the trouble system and switching the transmission side of a supervisory control unit in the spare system to manual operation. CONSTITUTION:At a normal time, selectors 21, 22 connect data receiving parts 12, 12' and transmitting parts 13, 13' inparallel respectively and are connected to a transmission line 0. When the line 0 is troubled, working transmitting and receiving parts 13, 12 are connected to a transmission line 1 so as to operate as an on-line and the spare transmitting and receiving parts 13', 12' are connected to the line 0. A selector 23 connects the transmitting and receiving sides of a supervisory control unit SV19 to the transmitting parts 13, 13' and the receiving parts 12, 12' respectively. A selector 24 switches the transmitting side of the spare system from the automatic side 26 to the manual side 27 to manually send a control signal to the transmitting part 13' and check the trouble status of the line 0. After finding a trouble position of the line 0, a maintenance man is dispatched to the trouble position to repair the fault, improving the efficiency of maintenance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize an accurate detection and exclusion of an area of disconnection of a loop transmission line by a loop-back operation even in case a node station having the by-pass mode exists. CONSTITUTION:In case a fault of disconnection arises at the point A on a loop transmission line as shown in the diagram with a node station 14 by-passed, a monitor station 10 transmits a command to carry out the loop-back from line No.0 through line No.1 to the node stations 16, 15, 14 and 13 in that order to obtain a replay. However, no replay is given from the station 16 through the station 14, and the replay is obtained at the station 13 for the first time. Thus the loop-back is fixed at the station 13. After this, the station 10 delivers a loop-back command to give the loop-back from line No.1 through line No.0 to the nodes stations 13, 14, 15 and 16 in that order to obtain a replay. No replay is given from the station 13 since the disconnection is caused between the stations 13 and 14 as well as from the station 14 since the station 14 is by-passed. Thus the reply is obtained for the first time from the station 15. The loop- back is fixed at the station 15.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the checking time, by transmitting loop-back commands to plural end offices from a master station to secure a loop-back connection and repeating the recovery to the loop-back connection for an end office that could receive the address information. CONSTITUTION:A receiving part 12 receives a loop-back command and then secures a loop-back connection in order to transmit the data received via a transmission line L1 to a transmission line L2 via a channel part 14, a transmitting part 13 and a gate G3. When the address information of all stations and loop- back commands are transmitted from a master station CTE, each end office is switched to a loop-back connection to transmit the address information and the response. In this case, the address information of an RTE1 closest to the CTE can be received at the CTE, and the address information given from other end offices are prevented by a gate G4 of a 1F part 11. The station CTE confirms the address of the RTE1 and then transmits a loop-back release command to the RTE1. Thus the RTE1 recovers the loop-back connection. Thus the address information given from an RTE2 is transferred to the CTE. Thereafter and in the same way, the end of checking is discriminated with the release of the loop-back connection of the last end office RTE4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the change of a part to be connected in loop transmission, the change of a parameter, etc. by assigning a part to perform branching and insertion and a common bus line to transmit/receive signals to/from terminals to each node in a loop transmission system. CONSTITUTION:A transmission line interface 2 is continuously connected to a loop 1. A signal received by the transmission line interface 2 through a received data separating circuit 8, a selector 10 and a transmission data inserting circuit 9 is transmitted to the loop 1. The received data separating circuit 8 separates an address signal and data from a received TDM signal and impresses the separated signals to an address line ADD and a received data line RED of buses. A terminal reads out data coincident with the self-address. When a signal is to be sent from the terminal, a signal is outputted to a transmission request line RQS to switch the selector 10 and data are impressed to a transmission data line TRD, so that the transmission data are converted into a TDM by the inserting circuit 9 through the selector 10 and transmitted to the loop.
