    Abstract: The invention relates to cards with a microprocessor and contacts. The invention lies in the fact that a communication device of the asynchronous type is disposed between the contacts and the microprocessor so as to relieve the microprocessor of the communication tasks and thus allow better use of the central unit of the microprocessor and the associated memories. This device includes an analysis circuit, a circuit for checking the integrity of the series of pulses, a circuit for determining the characters in the series of pulses and pluralities of registers which are connected with the microprocessor.

    Abstract: A load modulation device in a remotely powered integrated circuit includes an oscillating circuit, and a voltage device for regenerating first and second power supply voltages. The voltage device includes at least one MOS transistor in a well on at least one terminal of the oscillating circuit. The at least MOS transistor includes a source or drain connected to the at least one terminal. A bias circuit biases the well to the first or second power supply voltage based upon a modulation signal.

    Abstract: The invention relates to contact memory cards (16) essentially comprising a memory (10) and its approach circuits (12, 14). The invention is characterized in that the approach circuits of the memory are modified (20) to allow for writing in or reading the memory (10) by means of electrical signals supplied by the terminal (18) in accordance with an asynchronous communication protocol with verification of the integrity of the transmitted codes. The signais received at the contacts (16) are analysed by the circuit (22) and then directed to the address register (26) and data register (28) by the switch circuit (24). The circuit (22) and the control circuit (14) transmit messages and codes to the terminal (18) by way of a transmission circuit (34). L'invention concerne les cartes à mémoire à contacts (16) qui comportent essentiellement une mémoire (10) et ses circuits d'accès (12, 14).
