Abstract:
An ultrasound transducer array for an ultrasound probe is presented. The ultrasound transducer array includes a support structure. Further, the ultrasound transducer array includes a plurality of electro-acoustic modules coupled to the support structure, wherein each of the plurality of electro-acoustic modules comprises at least one matrix acoustic array and an interconnect element, wherein each of the plurality of electro-acoustic modules is interchangeable on the support structure so as to adapt to one or more shapes of the ultrasound probe, and wherein each of the plurality of electro-acoustic modules operates in a manner substantially identical to each other of the plurality of electro-acoustic modules.
Abstract:
An ultrasonic transducer driving circuit configured to supply an output current and/or an output voltage to an output line for driving an ultrasonic transducer is provided. The ultrasonic transducer driving circuit includes a first current discharge circuit configured to allow a current arising from electric charges accumulated in the ultrasonic transducer to flow from the output line to ground when the output line is at a positive voltage, and a second current discharge circuit configured to allow the current arising from the electric charges accumulated in the ultrasonic transducer to flow from ground to the output line when the output line is at a negative voltage. The first current discharge circuit and the second current discharge circuit are controlled based on the output current and/or the output voltage.
Abstract:
An ultrasound probe (106) having a set of functions is coupled to a portable ultrasound imaging device (100). A volume of interest is scanned e.g. in three-dimensions, using an ultrasound-imaging device coupled to a resource extension device (302) at a transmit power level capability to get ultrasound image data. The image data is processed using an ultrasound-imaging device processor and a resource extension device processor. An independent claim is also included for an ultrasound-imaging system configured to operate in a resource extended mode and a portable mode.
Abstract:
A receiving circuit in an ultrasonic probe that includes an ultrasonic transducer configured to receive ultrasonic waves is provided. The receiving unit includes an amplification unit configured to amplify an echo signal received at the ultrasonic transducer. The amplification unit includes a current output amplifier. The receiving circuit further includes a delay unit configured to provide a delay time to output signals of the amplification unit.
