    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic device having one or more slow diffusive electroactive materials and an electron shuttle which improves the loss and/or the complexity associated with incorporating one or more slow diffusive electroactive materials into a medium of the electrochromic device. SOLUTION: An anode material and a cathode material are both electroactive. At least either one of the anode material and the cathode material is electrochromic. At least either one of the anode material and the cathode material is slow diffusive.
