Abstract:
A method comprises: outputting a graphical keyboard 16 comprising a plurality of character keys 20; receiving an indication of a first input gesture 22, a first portion of this indicating a first character key 20A and a second portion indicating a second character key 20D; determining, based at least in part on the first character key and the second character key, a candidate word; outputting a gesture completion path 26 extending from the second character key 20D, being the most recently indicated character key, the gesture completion path being associated with the candidate word; and selecting, in response to receiving an indication of a second input gesture traversing the gesture completion path, the candidate word. The candidate word 28 may be displayed adjacent to the gesture completion path 26. A second gesture completion path associated with a second candidate word may be displayed (Figures 4A and 4B). A continuous gesture graphical keyboard, or combo gesture keyboard, may thus be provided with an autocompletion facility for predicted words, while entering text within a single gesture, without the need to resort to word suggestion areas 24.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The systems and methods described herein may help to provide for more convenient, efficient, and/or intuitive operation of a user- interface. An example computer- implemented method may involve: (i) providing a user-interface comprising an input region; (ii) receiving data indicating a touch input at the user-interface; (iii) determining an active-input-region setting based on (a) the touch input and (b) an active-input-region parameter; and (iv) defining an active input region on the user-interface based on at least the determined active- input-region setting, wherein the active input region is a portion of the input region.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are described herein related to a user interface (UI) for a head-mountable device (HMD). A computing device, such as an HMD, can display at least a portion of a first linear arrangement of cards. The first linear arrangement can include an ordered plurality of cards that can include an actionable card and a bundle card that can correspond to a group of cards. A moveable selection region can be displayed. A given card can be selected by aligning the selection region with the given card. After selection of a bundle card, the computing device can display a second linear arrangement of cards that includes a portion of the corresponding group of cards. After selection of an actionable card, the computing device can display a third linear arrangement of cards that includes action card(s) selectable to perform action(s) based on the actionable card.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are described herein related to a user interface (UI) for a computing device, such as a head-mountable device (HMD). The computing device can display a first card of an ordered plurality of cards using a timeline display. The computing device can receive a first input and, responsively determine a group of cards for a grid view and display the grid view. The group of cards can include the first card. The grid view can include the group of cards arranged in a grid and be focused on the first card. The computing device can receive a second input, and responsively modify the grid view and display the modified grid view. The modified grid view can be focused on a second card. The computing device can receive a third input and responsively display the timeline display, where the timeline display includes the second card.
