Abstract:
An apparatus and method associated with amplifying piezoelectric sonic and ultrasonic outputs is presented which provides high power output from piezoelectric devices, especially at high ultrasonic frequencies, in open air, which mitigates or eliminates overheating of the piezoelectric devices when stimulated at or near their peak outputs for extended periods. In addition, the invention provides a means of amplifying a piezoelectric sonic and ultrasonic device if a desired output power exceeds a normal maximum capability of the piezoelectric device.
Abstract:
An apparatus and methods are provided to realize an input waveform using wavelet processing and reconstruction via separated antenna array systems having different beam paths and different frequency components which can include phased array transmitters to recreate the input waveform. One aspect of the invention can include a wavelet function used for the examples shown herein which includes a first and second moments of a statistical function, i.e. the mean and variance used with an inverse wavelet to create rectangular pulses that lend themselves to use in the invention herein. Other embodiments of the invention can use other input waveform separation functions paired with signal separation and recombination at a focus point. A selected function can be matched to its application associated with avoidance of sending the input waveform along a single beam path, a desired a focus point, and separation of an input signal.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for signal emitters determining and using a reduced number of discrete frequency transmitters based on frequency segmentation and degradation analysis of a candidate filter configuration compared to an original waveform input signal for acceptability determination in view of desired system parameters. A method that configures a device to produce a complex waveform over a desired range of frequencies is provided. Configuring a device can include filtering to reduce a number of frequencies which in turn is used to reduce signal emitters and configuring resulting reduced signal emitters includes producing a desired complex waveform over a desired range of frequencies.

A method facilitates assembling a seal assembly for a gas turbine engine rotor assembly. The method comprises coupling a disk retainer to a first stage disk, and coupling an interstage seal assembly including an outer shell within the rotor assembly such that a downstream arm extending from the outer shell engages a second stage disk while an upstream arm extending from the outer shell engages the disk retainer.
