    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for storing data about biological entities are provided. A computing device can receive a plurality of data items about a biological entity from a plurality of sources. The computing device can verify each data item of the plurality of data items using the computing device by at least: determining a source of the data item from among the plurality of sources, determining a provenance for the data item associated with the source of the data item, and verifying that the data item is associated with the biological entity based at least on the provenance for the data item associated with the source of the data item. After verifying that a particular data item is associated with the biological entity, the computing device can store the particular data item in a data log associated with the biological entity.

    Abstract: A method for transmitting, storing and sharing data collected by a wearable device is provided. In one example, data related to one or more measurements obtained by the wearable device configured to be mounted to a body surface of a wearer is received in addition to an input by the wearer of the device. The input selects at least one identification rule that determines whether or how the wearer is identified in connection with the data from the wearable device. The data is stored in a database based, at least in part, on the at least one identification rule. The input from the wearer may also select at least one permission rule that determines whether third parties can access the data from the wearable device. A third party may be required to provide payment for access to or use of the data according to the at least one permission rule.

    Abstract: An electronic device may be used to authenticate a user when accessing a remote system. In this regard, authentication information required to authorize accessing the remote system may be stored securely on a secure device, with the authentication information being configured such that it is inaccessible or unreadable while in the electronic device. The electronic device may obtain (e.g., read) the authentication information from the secure device when attempting to access the remote system.
