    Abstract: In some examples, a controller can include a processing resource and a memory resource storing instructions to cause the processing resource perform object detection on a frame of a plurality of frames of a video signal, generate a bounding box around an object in the frame in response to the object detection detecting the object in the frame, perform a backlight adjustment of the frame, and generate an output frame having adjusted pixel values for each pixel from the backlight adjustment.

    Abstract: In some examples, an electronic device comprises an interface to receive a video of a human face, a memory storing executable code, and a processor coupled to the interface and to the memory. As a result of executing the executable code, the processor is to receive the video from the interface, use a facial detection technique to produce a sequence of images of the human face based on the video, use a neural network to predict a photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal based on the sequence of images, convert the PPG signal to a frequency domain signal, and determine a heart rate by performing a frequency analysis on the frequency domain signal.

    Abstract: A machine learning model may be trained with virtual renderings of each three-dimensional (3D) model in a set of 3D models in different poses and with different backgrounds. The system may identify a 3D object in an image as corresponding to one of the 3D models. The system may estimate a pose of the 3D object identified in the image and generate a detection mask. The system may generate a model mask based on a rendering of the identified 3D model in the estimated pose. A defect visualization subsystem may render a scaled overlay image of the detection mask and the model mask. In some examples, the system may detect a defect based on a calculated difference between the detection mask the model mask.

    Abstract: One example of a video monitoring system includes a frame acquisition subsystem, a stage gate motion detection subsystem, a person detection subsystem, a face recognition subsystem, and an alert emission subsystem. The frame acquisition subsystem extracts frames from an input video. The stage gate motion detection subsystem separates background motion from foreground motion within frames. The person detection subsystem detects people including faces and bodies within the foreground motion. The face recognition subsystem matches detected faces to previously registered users. The alert emission subsystem provides alerts based on events detected by the stage gate motion subsystem, the person detection subsystem, and the face recognition subsystem.
