Abstract: The invention provides liquid formulation, which comprises 0.1 to 75% by weight of prochloraz, at least 3% by weight of a nonionic surfactant or surfactant mixture, at least 8.5% by weight of a phenol derivative to prevent crystallisation of the prochloraz on storage of the emulsion, said phenol being a compound of formula R -O-X in which R is phenyl, substituted by one to three C1-C8-alkyl, alpha -methylbenzyl or alpha -methyl-4-methylbenzyl groups, by 4-hydroxyphenylene in the para-position, a C6-C22-alkyl group in the para-position or by two C3-C12-alkyl groups in the ortho and para-positions, and X is hydrogen, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or NR3 in which each R is the same or different and is hydrogen or C1-C8-alkyl, optionally substituted by hydroxy, and at least 1% by weight of an organic solvent which is only slightly soluble in water and which comprises at least one aromatic hydrocarbon.

Abstract: Oil-in-water emulsions (microemulsions) which contain 0.01 - 80% by weight of at least one agrochemical active substance which is sparingly soluble in water, an active substance for combating pests in the domestic and hygiene sector, and/or a pharmacologically active ingredient, 1 to 30% by weight of an emulsifier mixture of non-ionic and anionic compounds and at least one salt of an alkylarylsulphonic acid as defined in the description, and water, and, if appropriate, 1 to 30% by weight of at least one organic solvent which is sparingly miscible with water and/or of a solubiliser, and, if appropriate, 0.05 to 15% by weight of additives, where the total of the components is in each case 100% by weight, a process for the preparation of these aqueous microemulsions, and their use.

Abstract: 1532506 Emulsion concentrates of waterinsoluble biocides HOECHST AG 29 Jan 1976 [31 Jan 1975] 03511/76 Heading A5E An emulsion concentrate of a water-insoluble organic biocide which is sensitive to hydrolysis in an organic non-polar solvent which is free from hydroxyl groups, contains an anionic emulsifier and optionally an ionic emulsifier, and has as viscosity reducing agent a compound of formula: in which each of R 1 and R 2 is an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkylcarbonyl group having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms or a carbamoyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X is an alkylene group having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms and n is in the range of from 1 to 20. The biocide may be a phosphoric or thiophosphoric acid ester and the solvent may be benzene, toluene, xylene or kerosine. Viscosity reducing agents used are ethylene glycol dimethyl and diethyl ethers; di-, tri- and tetra-ethylene glycol dimethyl ethers; diethylene glycol dibutyl ether; methyl-tetraglycol t-butyl ether; methyl glycolbutyl glycol-, and methyldiglycol-acetates; glycol diacetate; ethyl glycol- and methyldiglycolmethylurethanes; propanediol- and butanedioldiacetates; and butanediol dimethylurethane.
