Abstract: Disinfectants which are characterized in that they contain a mixture of a compound of the formula I I in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6, which may be identical or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical having of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R7 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms, n is 2 or 3 and m is zero or an integer from 1 to 4, in admixture with one or more chlorinated hydrocarbons or with non chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons and a compound of the formula II II or of the formula III III or of the formula IV IV or a mixture of compounds of the formulae II to IV, in which R8 represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms, R9 represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical having from 7 to 17 carbon atoms; R10 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl or ethyl group, R11 represents methyl or ethyl, x, y and z each represent an integer from zero to 2, v is 2 or 3, p is zero or 1 and q is zero or 1.

Abstract: Method is effected using flotation. Collectors are 1-amidoethyl-imidazolines having formula (I): (where R1 and R2 are 8-22 (pref. 12-18)C alk(en)yl gps.). A standard flotation process is used. (I) is added to flotation slurry contg. the ground, crude ore. Foaming- and auxiliary agents may be added. (I) are used esp. for collecting pyrochlore, columbite, pandaite, betaphite, etc. (I) do not collect quartz, calcite and other contaminating minerals. Concn. achieved with (I) is higher than that achieved by using 1-hydroxyalkyl-2-or 1-aminoalkyl-2-alkyl imidazolines as collectors.

Abstract: In a process for printing or pad dyeing polyamide fibre materials with acid- or metal complex dyes, the material is treated with printing pastes or padding baths contg. a levelling agent mixt. comprising (a) alkyl- or alkylarylpolyglycolethersulphates based on fatty alcohol or alkylphenols; (b) condensn. prods. of diethanolamine and fatty acids; (c) low alkanolamines; (d) low aliphatic alcohols and (e) acid donors based on organic halogen cpds. which react with water at elevated temps. to release a hydrogen halide. The material is subsequently steam fixed, washed off and dried. Use of the levelling agents overcomes the 'grey veil' effect often encountered when printing or pad dyeing of polyamide woven, non-woven, knitted and tufted fabrics and floor covering materials, etc., with acid or metal complex dyes.

Abstract: Polyglycol esters which can be obtained by partially esterifying an oxalkylate of 1,1,1-trimethylolethane or pentaerythritol with a mixture of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in the molar ratio of from 2:1 to 4:1 with sub-stoichiometrical amounts of a carboxylic acid having from 10 to 20 carbon atoms or an acylating derivative of such a carboxylic acid may be used as surface-active agents. The polyglycol esters increase and/or stabilize the viscosity of aqueous systems and are also suitable as emulsifying agents.
