    Abstract: Brightener for textile was prepd. by mixing 0.05-lwt. % I [e.g.; R1, R2 = H; R3 = -COOC6H5, COOCH3, -CONH2, -COOH, -C(O)OCH2CH2OCH3, -CONR3, -CH3, -C6H4CH3, -C6H5, -C(O)NO, naphthalenyl, -C(O)O(CH2)11CH3 and 1-0.05wt.% II(e.g.; R4, R5, R6, R7 = H; X = 0;A1, A2 = -CH:CH-CH:CH-, -CH;C(COOH)-C(COOH): CH-, -CH:C(COOCH3)-C(COOCH3):CH-). When the polyester/cotton (50/50) textile was treated with brightener soln. which was contained 0.025 g/l I(R1, R2 = H; R3 = -COOC6H5) and 0.025g/l II(R4, R5, R6, R7 = H; X= 0; A1, A2 = -CH:CH-CH-), the brightness of Berger and Stenby was 136 and 137, resp.
