Abstract:
Brightener for textile was prepd. by mixing 0.05-lwt. % I [e.g.; R1, R2 = H; R3 = -COOC6H5, COOCH3, -CONH2, -COOH, -C(O)OCH2CH2OCH3, -CONR3, -CH3, -C6H4CH3, -C6H5, -C(O)NO, naphthalenyl, -C(O)O(CH2)11CH3 and 1-0.05wt.% II(e.g.; R4, R5, R6, R7 = H; X = 0;A1, A2 = -CH:CH-CH:CH-, -CH;C(COOH)-C(COOH): CH-, -CH:C(COOCH3)-C(COOCH3):CH-). When the polyester/cotton (50/50) textile was treated with brightener soln. which was contained 0.025 g/l I(R1, R2 = H; R3 = -COOC6H5) and 0.025g/l II(R4, R5, R6, R7 = H; X= 0; A1, A2 = -CH:CH-CH-), the brightness of Berger and Stenby was 136 and 137, resp.
Abstract:
PROCESS FOR THE DYEING AND PRINTING OF HYDROPHOBIC FIBER MATERIALS BY TREATING THE GOODS IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ACID DONOR AT TEMPERATURES ABOVE 50* C. WITH AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS OF DYESTUFFS HAVING THE GENERAL FORMULA
F-X-CO-N(-ME)-SO3-ME
WHEREIN F REPRESENTS THE RADICAL OF AN ORGANIC DYESTUFF WATER-INSOLUBLE PER SE, X REPRESENTS AN --O--, A --S-OR --NR-- BRIDGE MEMBER (R=A HYDROGEN ATOM OR AN ALKYL, ARYL, ACYL OR ALKYL OR ARYLSULFONYL GROUP) AND ME IS AN ALKALI METAL OR AMMONIUM ION.
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula (I) wherein X is O or S, A is a group of the formula and R1, R2 and R3 are non-chromophorous substituents. They are prepared by reacting a 4'-benzoxa(thia)zolyl-2-stilbene-4-carbonic acid chloride with an amidoxim containing the group R3 or by reacting a 4'-benzoxa(thia)zolyl-2-stilbene-4-amidoxime with an acid chloride containing the group R3.
Abstract:
A mixture of optical brighteners containing 0.05 to 0.95 part by weight of a compound from the benzoxazolyl- or benzothiazolylstilbene series and 0.95 to 0.05 part by weight of a compound of the bis-benzoxazolyl- or bis-benzothiazolylstilbene series or of the benzoxazolyl- or benzothiazolyl-stilbene oxazolo[5,4-6]pyridinyl or oxazolo[2,3-b]pyridinyl series. These mixtures show an enhanced degree of whiteness as compared to the same amount of the single components.
Abstract:
Mixtures of optical brighteners containing 0.05 to 1% of a 4-benzoxazolystilbene derivative and 1 to 0.05% of a 1,4-bis-benzoxazolyl- or bis-benzthiazolyl-naphthalene derivative. These mixtures show a higher degree of whiteness than an equal amount of only one of the two components.
