Abstract: Spraying is effected by means of a high rotational speed, fluid, sprinkler head, in a process for applying a prepn. to continuously running piece goods of cellulose and polyester and their mixts. Spray mist is sucked through the goods with the help of a stream of air flowing towards the jets. Pref. the sprinkler head is installed in a housing above a conveyor belt, with means of generating a flow of air arranged so that it moves towards the spray outlets and passes through the goods. Conveyor has covers which can be adjusted, and the suction arrangement is aligned laterally towards the spray cone. Process and plant for applying quite small quantities of a prepn., e.g. for fixing after printing or dyeing, very uniformly on cellulose and polyester piece goods.
