Abstract:
WHEREIN R represents saturated, open-chain alkylene having from 1 to 15 carbon atoms, phenylene, biphenylene or phenylalkylene, R1 and R2 represent alkyl or cycloalkyl groups, as well as phenyl or benzyl and R3 represents saturated, open-chain alkylene and n is from 1 to 30, are described as well as suitable processes for the preparation of the di-phosphinic acid ester named and their use for flame-proofing polyesters.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for precipitation polymerization of Alpha -methylstyrene in a hydrocarbon medium in which poly- Alpha -methylstyrene is insoluble or only little soluble. The polymerization is initiated by a finely divided alkali metal which is used together with certain phosphoric acid amides or ethers or mixtures thereof as polymerization accelerators.
Abstract:
POLYESTERS OF AROMATIC DICARBOXYLIC ACIDS, SATURATED ALIPHATIC OR CYCLOALIPHATIC DIOLS AND ALCOHOLS CONTAINING MORE THAN TWO HYDROXYMETHYL GROUPS BOUNDS TO A CYCLOHEXANE RING OR TETRAHYDROPYRAN RINGS. THE SAID POLYESTERS ARE USED FOR MAKING INJECTION MOULDED ARTICLES THAT ARE FREE FROM FLASH FORMATION.
Abstract:
There are disclosed and claimed novel polyamides characterized by a high transparency together with good mechanical and electrical properties, and especially suitable for the preparation of articles by injection moulding. The polyamides of the invention are prepared by known polycondensation methods from mixtures of 1.3-bis-(aminomethyl)-cyclohexane, optionally partially replaced by 1.4-bis-(aminomethyl)-cyclohexane, and at least one straight-chain aliphatic diamine, and mixtures of at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid and at least one aliphatic saturated dicarboxylic acid.
Abstract:
THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITIONS HAVING EXCELLENT INJECTION MOULDING PROPERTIES ARE OBTAINED FROM LINEAR SATURATED POLYESTERS AND ALKALI METAL SALTS OF ORGANIC PHOSPHONIC ACIDS, THE MONOESTERS THEREOF, OF ORGANIC PHOSPHONOUS ACIDS OR OF ORGANIC PHOSPHINIC ACIDS, THE ORGANIC RADICALS BEING SATURATED OR UNSATURATED ALKYL, CYCLOALKYL, ARYL, OR ARALYKYL GROUPS HAVING UP TO 15 CARBON ATOMS.
Abstract:
Thermoplastic moulding compositions on the basis of linear saturated polyesters wherein the polyester granules containing a neutral or partially neutralized salt of montan wax or of montan wax esters is additionally coated with a neutral or partially neutralized salt of montan wax or of montan wax esters.
