Abstract: PROCESS TO MEASURE THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE ANODE CURRENTS IN CELLS FOR ALKALI METAL CHLORIDE ELECTROLYSIS of the disclosure: For the indirect measurement of the distribution of the anode currents in electrolytic cells operated with alkali metal chloride according to the amalgam process the cell voltage is determined with the exclusion of potential displacement in the range of the electrolytic cell. An exclusion of potential displacements is obtained by the fact that there are no ohmic connections between the current-carrying elements and the other electrically conductive elements of the electrolytic cell.
