Abstract: Tubular cellulose fibre or mixed cellulose fibre knits or fabrics are dyed on a revolving vat or in jet dyeing machines by the exhaust method, using a short bath ratio, i.e. 1:3-1:8, pref. 1:5-1:8 the aqs. dyebath cointg. the appropriate dyestuffs or dyestuff precursors and >=1 adjuvant. This adjuvant is an aliphatic anionic or non-ionic agent able to make the fibres supple and leave them with a smooth coating; it is present in amts. of 2-8g/1. Deep uniform dyeings are obtd. The effect of temp is not important (unlike in Jigger dyeing).
