Abstract: The surfactant compositions are obtained by mixing 1 part by weight of at least one non-ionic surfactant and 0.3 to 9 parts by weight of a specific mixture of water and at least one anionic surfactant and at least one cationic surfactant. They are concentrated, and generally clear, liquids which are distinguished, in particular by favourable foaming and wetting characteristics, low surface tension and low pour point and, by reason of these special properties, can be used for many purposes.

Abstract: A surfactant composition which consists of 70% by weight of water and 30 to 85% by weight of an anionic surfactant and a particular cationic surfactant in the molar ratio 1:(0.3 to 10) is described. The surfactant compositions are in the form of a clear and easily handled liquid. A method to produce these surfactant compositions is also described, and essentially comprises mixing together the three components of water, anionic surfactant and cationic surfactant with the formation of two phases, and separating the upper required surfactant phase from the lower salt phase. The surfactant composition has wide utility because of its advantageous properties.
