    Abstract: This saw chain lubricant is composed essentially of water and a water-soluble antifreeze agent, as main constituents, and of corrosion inhibitors, wear inhibitors and adhesion promoters in a quantity which is effective in each case, the adhesion promoter being a water-soluble polyethylene glycol and/or a water-soluble acrylamide copolymer which contains sulfonic acid groups, the molecular weight of each being at least 500,000. In combination with this adhesion promoter, which is present in an amount of 0.05 to 1% by weight, the lubricant contains 5 to 50% by weight of a water-soluble polyethylene oxide/polypropylene oxide adduct having a viscosity of at least 300 mPa.s at 50 DEG C., as a special lubricant, percentages by weight relating in each case to the weight of the agent.

    Abstract: Defrosting and anti-frosting agent for aircraft based on glycols and water and with cross-bound acryl polymers as a thickening agent, essentially consisting of:a) 40-70 weight percent of a glycol chosen among alkylene glycols with 2-3 C-atoms and oxyalkylene glycols with 4-6 C-atomsb) 0.1-1 weight percent of cross-bound acryl polymers, consisting of 1 part by weight of a cross-bound copolymer of acryl acid or an alkali metal acrylate and acrylamide with 10-90 weight percent copolymerized units of acryl acid or alkali metal acrylates and 10-90 weight percent copolymerized units of acrylamide and 1-10 parts by weight of a cross-bound homopolymer of acryl acid or an alkali metal acrylate with the precondition that the homopolymer and the copolymer each independently have a viscosity of 5,000 to 70.000 mPas and a laminar flow character with a displacement rate of 0-20,000 s , whereby the viscosity and the laminar flow character are each independently measured with the help of a 0.5 weight percent aqueous solution with a temperature of 20 degrees C and a pH value of 7 with a Brookfield viscosity meter at 20 o/m or with a rotation viscosity meter with displacement rate up to 20,000 s ,c) 0.05-1 weight percent of a tenside from the group of alkali metal alkylarylsulfonates,d) 0.01-1 weight percent of at least one corrosion inhibitore) The three following basic compounds e1 to e3 in the given masses to the determination of the pH value of the agent to 7.5-11e1) 0.01-1 weight percent ammoniac, monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, or triethanolamine or a mixture thereofe2) 0.05-0.1 weight percent of potassium hydroxide ande3) 0.01-0.5 weight percent of a further alkali metal hydroxide andf) water in the remaining portion up to 100 weight percent, given that the masses in weight percent are calculated on weight of the agent.The agent presents the particular advantage of having a relatively low viscosity even in arctic temperatures and low displacement rates, which ensures a rapid and thorough flow of the agent upon start of the aircraft under extreme conditions.
