Abstract: Brighteners for detergents consisting of a mixture of 4,4'-bis-(2-morpholino-4-anilino-1,3,5-triazinylamino)-stilbene-2,2'-d isulfonic acid-di-Na salt and from 5 to 50% by weight, calculated on said brightener, of another brightener of the formula +TR in the above formula, M is an alkali metal cation, preferably sodium, X is a group of the formula -COR2 or -SO2R3, R2 being C1-C8-alkyl and R3 being C1-C5-alkyl, C4-C8-cycloalkyl, phenyl or toluyl, Y is hydrogen or C1-C5-alkyl, A is C3-C6-alkylene, R1 is hydrogen, C1-C5-alkyl, C4-C8-cycloalkyl, or a group of the formula and Z is an anilino group, a chloroanilino group or a morpholino group. Said brightener mixtures are color-stable and do not show any green discoloration even after a prolonged storage in a moist atmosphere.

Abstract: Mono- or polyhydric alcohols of the alkan-, tetrahydrofuran- or tetrahydropyran series or di- or tri-alkyleneglycols are dissolved in an aprotic polar solvent and reacted with C3F6 in the presence of trialkylamines, or with tetrafluoroethylene to give the corresponding tetrafluoroethyl- or hexafluoropropyl ethers. The solution of the fluoroethers in anhydrous hydrofluoric acid is electrolyzed. Hydrogen-free perfluoroethers are obtained.

Abstract: Reaction of hexafluoropropene epoxide with phosphoric acid tris-(dialkylamides) gives the new perfluoro- alpha -[3.6-dimethyl-1.4-dioxanyl-2-oxy]-propionic acid fluoride. By hydrolysis and decarboxylation of the acid in the presence of fluorine perfluoro-2-ethoxy-[3.6-dimethyl-1.4-dioxane] is obtained which can be used as chemically inert lubricant or heat transfer liquid.

V and VI have great chemical stability, low dielectric constant, high breakthrough tension, and low loss factor in high frequency alternating fields.

Abstract: Prodn. of a colourless stable crystal modification of an optical brightener of formula (I) (where M is Na or K) is effected by heating in a lower alkanol (pref. isopropanol) contg. 1-20 (pref. 5-19) wt.% H2O. Process is pref. effected by isolating (I) from its reaction mixt. in free acid form (M=H), dissolving this in H2O-contg. alcohol, forming the salt by adding alkali, and refluxing the suspension. The process avoids the addn. of electrolytes (c.f. DT1770376).
